a beginning

Usually I love circles because they have no beginning. No visible beginning, no end, and no combative polygonal angles; just one continuous curve that makes the circle, to me, the most graceful and perfect shape there is. Those who know me best will be the first to comment on my long-standing love affair with circles; the shape is at the foundation of nearly every idle doodle, intricate design, birthday cake, and DIY project I undertake. And at a time in my life when a lot of things – career, location, dreams, goals, etc. – are up in the air, my love of circles is, and most likely always will be, certain.

But this particular circle has a beginning; in fact, you’re looking at it right now! You may have seen photos of my artwork and baking on Facebook or Instagram (and if not, that’s totally fine too; stick around and have a look!), but what you might not know are the stories behind each cake, card, and design; you’ll find those here, in addition to my favorite recipes (looking at you, Martha Stewart), techniques, and maybe even a DIY or two.

Where this circle will end, I have no idea; but you are most welcome to join me for every new recipe, every crafty project, and every late night trip to the grocery store and A.C. Moore on the way there.
